What’s not covered

The Accident Plus plan is designed to cover accidental injuries only, and not other illness conditions. While your pet insurance policy is there to protect you and your pet against unexpected accidents and injuries, it can’t cover every vet-related expense. To keep premiums affordable, there are some exclusions such as:

  • Any condition not listed in ‘What’s Covered’
  • Patella luxations (dislocating kneecap), elbow dysplasia and skin mites, no matter how the condition arises
  • Pre-existing conditions or conditions arising within the waiting period
  • Dental illness
  • Preventative procedures and elective treatment
  • Illnesses caused by endoparasites, such as intestinal worms, or ectoparasites, such as ticks (other than paralysis tick) and fleas

For a full list of exclusions, and more information, please refer to the Product Disclosure Statement.
