What’s not covered

The Accident Plus plan is designed to cover specified accidental injuries and a range of specified illnesses. While your pet insurance policy is there to protect you and your pet against unexpected specified accidental injuries and specified illnesses, it can’t cover every vet-related expense. Some exclusions apply:

  • Any condition not listed in ‘What’s Covered’
  • Patella luxations (dislocating kneecap), elbow dysplasia and external parasites such as ticks, fleas or skin/ear mites, no matter how the condition arises
  • Pre-existing conditions (although conditions considered temporary may be removed as an exclusion after 18 months – read more here);
  • Dental conditions excluding traumatic tooth fractures
  • Preventative procedures and elective treatment

For a full list of exclusions, and more information, please refer to the Product Disclosure Statement.
